Understanding prison life experience is critical to the mission of the Pennsylvania Prison Society. Our inaugural Community Advisory Council (CAC) of formerly incarcerated people and loved ones will provide insight and feedback on organizational initiatives related to stopping abuse in prisons, keeping families connected, educating the public, and advocating for systemic change. We received over 60 applications from across the state for 15 council seats and were honored by the interest from so many people with important experience, appreciation for the Society’s mission, and commitment to making a difference. We look forward to working together with our new council members to further our mission!
