This year, more people turned to the Pennsylvania Prison Society than ever before.
We helped 8,300 people through our Helpline, made 3,370 one-on-one visits with people incarcerated across Pennsylvania, and helped families make 312 visits on nine bus trips.
Those numbers tell part of the story.
Behind them are people who got an answer when they needed one. Families who were able to see someone they love. People inside who had someone sit across from them to listen and make sure their concerns were heard.
And there were moments when showing up led to something bigger.
After six years of advocacy, state support for our family bus program was restored — putting more families back on the road to visit loved ones incarcerated far from home.
This year, we’re showing our impact a little differently.
For the first time, our annual Impact Report is a digital landing page — designed to make it easier to explore the numbers, stories, people, and progress behind our work, and to share them with others. It brings those stories together and celebrates the staff, volunteers, partners, donors, families, and supporters who keep showing up alongside us.
