I began volunteering at the Northampton County prison in 2023 and became involved in regional reentry work. When I learned about the important work the Prison Society does, I was immediately interested in volunteering.
Every human being, without exception, has unique value and deserves to be treated with compassion and grace. As a monitor, I have the opportunity to talk face-to-face with folks and then report back to their families. These simple interactions help incarcerated folks and their families feel some hope.
People who are incarcerated are humans with individual needs, talents, and dreams.
