I believe that all people should be treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. The opportunity to help ensure that people who are incarcerated, their families, and communities are treated with these core principles is what drew me to volunteer with the Prison Society.
One thing that people should know about this work is that it truly does matter. I've seen through my volunteer experience the positive effects that we can have on the lives of people who are incarcerated, their families, and our communities. It can make a real difference.
