Most Pa. county jails lack ballot drop boxes for incarcerated voters: survey
Most Pennsylvania county jails have not adopted recommended practices to help incarcerated people vote, according to a survey released weeks before the state’s primary election. Eight of the 45 county jails that responded to the Pennsylvania Prison Society’s semiannual survey have ballot drop boxes in their facilities, a measure the state Department of State recommends to ensure secure handling of mail ballots from incarcerated voters.
