Prison Society volunteer from New Hope aids women serving life
Pennsylvania’s legal system, which allows criminals as young as 14 to be sentenced to life without parole, is “wrong, immoral and a sin,” said Ellen Melchiondo, a New Hope woman working to bring particular attention to the state’s girls and women who are behind bars for a lifetime.
