Family Transportation Services

The Prison Society's Family Transportation Services Program, funded by the Department of Corrections, offers affordable bus transportation services from Philadelphia to 24 state correctional institutions.

For only $25 round trip, the Prison Society's Family Transportation Services Program provides transportation once every other month to institutions throughout the state. NOTE: Transportation to Albion travels each month.

To obtain tickets, you must request a reservation for seat(s) via e-mail or telephone. NOTE: Requests for seating generally outnumber available seats.

Individuals will be contacted to come into our office to pay for their ticket. Those who have used the service in the past, but are not able to obtain a ticket for a particular trip, may request a Standby Ticket. However, standby tickets DO NOT guarantee seating. Prior to departure, the bus driver will fill empty seats with those holding standby tickets. Only 10 standbys per trip are available. NOTE: Standby tickets are not available for SCI Albion.
