Restorative Justice Fundraiser
This volunteer fundraising position gives the volunteer an opportunity to actively work to support direct services for incarcerated individuals.
Responsibilities include:
- Becoming familiar with restorative justice philosophy and projects of the Restorative Justice Program
- Researching possible funding for Prison Society's restorative justice projects
- Writing proposals
The volunteer will work closely with both the Restorative Justice Program Manager and Prison Society's Development and Communications Director. The length of the position can range from one semester to one year, or more.
Requirements include:
- Compassion for incarcerated men and women
- Coursework or experience in fundraising
- Strong communication, writing and organizational skills
- Ability to take initiative and be self-motivated
- Research and computer skills
